How to schedule PODS/CISS checks

From Rev-Trac 8.3.0, PODS and CISS checks can be scheduled to run as a one-time or periodic batch job, for a Rev-Trac request.

Note: The feature is only available from the request screen in Web GUI.

Steps

  1. From the request screen, click on Safety Checks under Utilities and then Schedule safety checks.

  2. At the Scheduled safety checks for request n window, click on Add a new schedule.

  3. At the Create a schedule window, complete the following fields and click on Save.

Type

Select PODS or CISS.

Migration status

Typically, leave the field blank to allow the next migration status to be automatically picked up.

Periodic

Select to schedule a periodic job. Leave the field blank if you are scheduling a one-time job.

Frequency

The field is visible only if Periodic is enabled.

Select daily, weekly or monthly.

Schedule start

Select a start date for the job.

Schedule end

The field is visible only if Periodic is enabled.

Select an end date for the schedule.

Ignore quarantined transports

By default, it is selected to ignore quarantined transports in the analysis.

Unselect if otherwise is required. In this case, quarantined transports will appear stricken off in the results.

Notify users

Select to allow nominated users to receive notification emails when a job completes, which would contain the status of the job and if successful, a link to the result. See example below.

Users

Select users from the pulldown list, who will receive the notification emails.

 

The example below shows an email notification from a completed PODS check job containing a link to the result. To view the result, click on the link and log into Rev-Trac Web GUI.

Below is an example of scheduling a one-time PODS check job. The job runs at 11:35:00 on 03-09-2022.

Below is an example that shows the run has been scheduled, including those scheduled in the past.
