Overview

• The app allows you to display the details of a monitored versionable object in any system.

Search for an object

1. Select the system and object type from the dropdown lists.

2. Type a part of the object name and a dropdown list of matching names is displayed. If suitable, select the object name from the list.

   • A hidden * wildcard is added to the term in the object name field and it will be used as the final search term. For example, if you type or select Z_COPY, Z_COPY* will be used as the search term.

   • You can use any standard SAP wildcards in the field.

3. Click on Search. A list of objects matching your search criteria is displayed.

Navigating the details of an object

• If an object is displayed as a tree in the search result, expand the tree until no further expansion is possible.

• Click on the desired object from the search result. The right pane of the screen displays the details of the selected object.

• Different object types will display different tabs of which you can select to view the respective details.

• If the object is versionable, the Compare versions button is displayed and you can click on it to allow you to compare the various versions of the object using the Match Box app in a new browser tab.

• Depending on the object type, the cogwheel button may be displayed and you can select from the following options to change the display of the result:

  • Show generic view (standard view is displayed by default)

  • View as plain text

  • Show/Hide line numbers

  • Show/Hide authors (available only for ABAP source code views)
