Overview

Cold Case displays transports that have not reached their ultimate destination and for which no activity (including migration) has occurred across the landscape within a defined time span. For example, Cold Case can show you all transports that are not in production and were last touched between three and 12 months ago.

Choose your search criteria 

• System

  • Select a source system from the pulldown list.

• Transport deploy status

  • Select a destination option from the pulldown list.

• Age

  • Specify a period of no activity that you are interested in.

• Include quarantined transport

  • If Insights's sister application Rev-Trac is present in the selected system, Cold Case, by default, excludes from the result all objects whose most recent version is carried by a transport quarantined by Rev-Trac. Select the checkbox to include the quarantined transports.

• Click on Search cold cases.

Navigating the search result

• Click on the transport number to display the transport details.

• Below is an example of the search result. Transports with versional objects will display clickable icons at the end of the transport descriptions. Click on the icon to display the content of the transport.

Open

• The details will show the state of object which will be one of the following:

  • A new object

  • An object deletion

  • An object equivalent to its previous version

  • An object different from its previous version

• Below is an example of the content of a transport if it contains versionable objects. Hover the mouse over the icon in the State column for information. Click on the icon to display detailed comparison of the versions via the Match box app in a new browser tab.

Open

• Click on Export CSV at the bottom of the page to download the list as a CSV file.
